MapSource maps GarminUnlocker
Garmin MapSource maps unlocker from Russian forum.
Just put files from rar-archive somewere & start “All.bat”. And ALL your maps, installed in MapSource will be unlocked. Now you can put your maps to any Garmin device or Mobile XT or Que without *.unl files.
No need any ID for maps & devices at all.
Theoretically must work with *.img files too (start GarminUnlocker without parameters & see help), but I can’t;-).

Info for garmin unlocker. try below command.
garminunlocker imgset (path to the directory where your map are) e.g. C:\Garmin\cgpsmapper\mysin

This works perfectly. Run the all.bat and it automatically unlocks all the maps. VERY COOL!

using the all.bat, did onlock all the (Europe NT 2008) img. files. I can see them all in my PC, but not in my Nuvi. I stored all the unlocked files on a SD card, but it is not recognized in the Nuvi. Any more tricks up your sleeve? what am I missing? thank you, Gary

I was able to unlock Garmin City Navigator North America 2009 NT using Garmin Unlocker and installed it in my c330 using the MapInstall program, but when I turn on the unit, it says “can’t unlock maps.” What’s the problem?

I have a Garmin 96C it work very good. Unlock all my Garmin City navigator Europe v8 ,v9 NT and 2008 Nt. I install V8 in my unit, works fine. Try to find v9 and 2008 Europe non NOT. NY doesnt work with My unit.

some one find a way to unlock a img that is not in mapsource.
i put my hand on a bluechartg2 vision and i would like to unlock that img file. the usage of gaminunlocker.exe says garminunlocker.exe [img] witch i translate to garminunlocker.exe [img] but i cant have it to work. any idea.

I also could not get it to work on a single img file and I have mapsource but it won’t load img files so my img file is not installed in mapsource.
For example I call my img file myImage.img and when I ran the unlocker like this:
gaminunlocker.exe myImage.img
the program starts and says it is working on the file but the program just get hung up after printing this on the screen:
[ALL]
I must be placing the img file in the wrong folder which I hope someone out there can tell me where it should go.

Hi,
I do have another question.
The unlocker states it will unlock mapsource installed products.
How do I get my img file installed into mapsource? I noticed that img files are not supported as an import option.

This is a fab piece of engineering i tryed everything for 2 weeks until i got your version which worked fine with great britain roads and rec also garmin bluechart atlantic version 9.5 i used it along with the garmin unlocker program first.
before that it did not work. once i entered my unit code into the garmin unlocker first then i unlocked every map on my computer then i transferred it to my img file on the SD card

Hi all.
I have a Edge 705 with City europe 2009 map on micro SD card. It works great in my Edge 705 but when I start MapSource it says that I have to unlock map. I cant get it to work and Im no good at shose things. Please tell me what to do….

If you don’t get unlocked maps with all option, do as follows:
1. In Mapsource go to Utilities/manage products (Ctrl+U)
2. see which map is locked and write down the path
3. copy GarminUnlocker in this folder
4. in DOS prompt run this command “Garminunlocker tdb nameofthetdbfilehere.tdb”
Works, no problem also with the transfer,

Having some problems here. Did as instructed.
(1) Installed Mapsource, version 6.15.4
(2) Installed map,
-AdriaROUTE 2.20
-SCGRoute 2.0
-City Navigator Europe NT 2008 10.00
-City Navigator Europe NT 2009 11.00
-City Navigator Europe NT 2010.1 13.10
(3) Downloaded and placed the “all.bat” and “garminunlocker.exe” in the C:\Garmin
(4) After when I click the all.bat file, locked up only:
-AdriaROUTE 2.20
-SCGRoute 2.0
-City Navigator Europe NT 2008 10.00
(5) Run Mapsource. Says,
-AdriaROUTE 2.20 unlockable
-SCGRoute 2.0 unlockable
-City Navigator Europe NT 2008 10.00 unlockable
-City Navigator Europe NT 2009 11.00 locked
-City Navigator Europe NT 2010.1 13.10 locked
