TomTom 7 PDA and working Map KG - WM5/6 WM2003
OK, finally a working TomTom 7 for PDA.
Please download the file: http://rapidshare.com/files/123877358/thatstuffworks.rar
Install tt7 and then copy over the file TomTom Navigator.exe to the your device
\intern geheugen\Navigator (overwrite the old one).
You still need to use the KG to activate the map. but this exe will accept all the maps which have .dct files patched with your device code. To create the .dct file for Western_and_Central_Europe_710_1561 (just an example, you can use any v7 maps)
1) Unrar “tt7kgrar” in a folder on your computer (e.g. c:/tt7kg
2) Connect your PDA to your computer and Open the map
“Western_and_Central_Europe_710_1561″.
Copy the “Western_and_Central_Europe-7.meta” to:
“c:/tt7kg/insert_meta_from_Map_here”
3) Double click on “RunMe English.bat”. Now a CMD screen wil open.
4) Fill your DeviceID in from your TomTom WITHOUT SPACES. as example
ABCDE12345 and press the Enter button after that. Follow the
instructions on screen. When you see “OK” on the screen, the .meta
is Okay than, and a .dct file to activate the map is created.
5) Copy the 2 files “*.meta” and “*.meta.dct” back to your original
map on your PDA (and overwrite the old ones).
Now you have activated the “Western_and_Central_Europe_710_1561″ map!!!
Please Click Thank You if it works for you
TomTom 7 for WM2003 (pre regged, no need to replace the file TomTom Navigator.exe) - someone reported this to be working on his HP ipaq 4150 WITH WM2003.
How to get your Device ID:
Run and close the TomTom. On your TomTom installation dir (”\intern geheugen\Navigator”), you’ll find a file” ttnavigator.bif”. Copy this file to your PC and open it with Notepad, you’ll see DeviceUniqueID=XXXXXXXXXX (ABCDE12345, for example, will be your Device ID) on the 5th line.

When trying to install ttn7.cab from the link you provided, on my WM5 pocket PC the installation fails with a message: this version is not compatible with your device. Is it WM5 compatible? Did I misunderstand something? Thanks.

Yes: I have downloaded http://rapidshare.com/files/123877358/thatstuffworks.rar, then unrared it, copied the ttn7.cab on the PPC, then started the installation of ttn7.cab on the PPC, but instalation fails with message: “Your device is not compatible with this version of TomTom NAVIGATOR”
